Editorial Update

Hi, everybody,

It was a tough, tight race, but the editorial team has narrowed the field of contest entries to four finalists. Finalists will be announced at the Red Sage chat at Writerspace tomorrow night, May 15, at 9 p.m. eastern time. Email notifications will go out after the chat, so if you entered the contest and can't attend the chat, be sure to watch your inbox later this week.

Bonus appointments for RWA nationals are filling fast. We will make every effort to accommodate all requests, and are seeking alternate room arrangements to handle the overflow. If you've already requested an appointment, you should be receiving an email confirmation within the next few days. All appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis, but we really do want to hear pitches from everyone who requests appointments. Details of time and location will follow just as soon as we can provide them.

We're also hosting an informal meet-and-greet which will be open to all conference attendees. If you're shy about pitching work in a formal pitch session, but still want the chance to say hello, the mixer might be just the thing for you. It will be held on Thursday afternoon. Watch this space for announcements.

We expect to have the July Secrets anthologies available for purchase at the RWA Literacy Signing. Be sure to get your copies while you're there, and benefit a good cause -- plus, they're both very strong collections, destined to be reader favorites! We've already received two advance reviews of these anthologies, and both received "Recommended Read" ratings. And I can tell you that behind the scenes, everyone from our advance readers to our production team has been very eager about these collections. We think they're winners!
